Privacy policy.
How I handle the photographs and personal information you send — written in plain language, not legal jargon.
Overview
PhotoRestoration is a single-operator studio. The only person who handles your photographs and personal information is me, Inzamam. This policy describes exactly what I collect, why I collect it, what I do with it, and what choices you have. If anything here is unclear, write to me at the address in the Contact section below and I will answer personally.
01. Information I collect
When you submit a restoration request, I receive the photographs you send and the contact details you provide (typically your name and email address). If you choose to pay for a service, the payment processor (Wise or PayPal) handles the transaction — I never see or store your financial details. I do not collect browsing analytics, location data, advertising identifiers, or any information that is not directly required to deliver the service you have asked for.
02. Cookies
This website does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics. A small number of technical cookies may be set by the hosting platform to remember language preferences. The site also stores your last-selected theme locally so it persists across visits; this contains no personal data and is not used to identify you across other sites.
03. Third-party services
I rely on a small number of trusted third parties to operate the studio: a hosting provider (to serve this website), an email provider (to send and receive correspondence about your project), and a payment processor (to collect fees for paid services). Each of these providers is selected for its privacy and security practices, and each is given only the minimum information required to perform its function. I do not sell, rent, or share your information with any other parties for any reason.
04. Data retention
Your submitted photographs and the resulting restored files are kept in secure, encrypted storage for 90 days after project completion, after which they are permanently deleted from active systems. Backups are rotated and overwritten on a 30-day cycle. If you would like earlier deletion, write to me and I will remove your files within 24 hours. Transaction records required for tax and accounting purposes are retained for the minimum period required by law in my jurisdiction.
05. Children's privacy
The studio restores photographs of people of all ages, including many images of children from family archives. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a photograph you submit depicts a child who is still a minor, please let me know in your message so I can take appropriate care with the file.
06. Your rights
You have the right to ask what information I hold about you, to correct any of it, to request a copy in a portable format, and to request that it be deleted. To exercise any of these rights, write to the email address in the Contact section below. I will respond within seven working days, usually sooner.
07. Changes to this policy
If I make material changes to this policy — for example, a change in how long I retain files or which third-party services I use — I will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify active clients by email before the change takes effect.
08. Contact
